Meeting of the ICMM with the representatives of the “ILBAK” Turkish holding
The officials of the ICMM, Mr. Ramiz Krasniqi – Director and Mrs. Arta Dulaj – Head of Language Sector, together with the officials of the “NewCo Ferronikeli Complex” L.L.C, Mr. Bajram Dogani – Director of Fe-Ni Mines and Mr. Naser Qorri – Mining Engineer, with the invitation of the “ILBAK” holding with headquarter in Istanbul of Turkey, visited this holding in Turkey. On this occasion, they had opportunity to be informed about mining activities that this holding develops in sector of mines and minerals and their processing, and they are informed as well for the opportunity of investments in mining sector in Kosovo
During the visit in Turkey, the officials of the ICMM and “Newco Ferronikeli Complex” L.L.C had several meetings with the highest officials of “ILBAK” holding, where they were informed about the activity of this holding and especially for cooper open pit mine “Acacia” located in Kastamonu Province, in north of Turkey. This mine is the largest open pit mine with the highest annual production of cooper ore in Turkey. The Director of the ICMM, Mr. Krasniqi, had the opportunity to make the presentation of the ICMM work and mineral resources that the Republic of Kosovo possesses, where he informed the interested parties for the opportunity of investments in mining sector in the Republic of Kosovo.
The officials of the ICMM and “Newco Ferronikeli Complex” L.L.C, accompanied by the officials of “ILBAK” holding visited cooper open pit mine “Acacia” and its accompanying facilities.
Representative parties, from this visit, agreed to continue the cooperation to review the opportunity of exchanging data for development and upgrade of mining sector in general.
